For the first four years of their marriage, Andres and Lori were very happy and much in love, but then one fall their world exploded.

        Andres and Lori are facing head-on the agony of a marriage damaged by past sexual abuse. They’ve written a new book entitled Haunted Marriage in which they describe the horror they endured, and the healing that came from their turning to God and trusting him. Andres tells of the pain of coming home to find Lori curled up in the corner of the den. Memories of being abused as a child were flowing through her soul like poison, and she often lashed out at Andres. And he was chronically frustrated; he was confused—he didn’t know how to help! He prayed,  “Lord, if you are so powerful, why do you sit there while our marriage is disintegrating?”

        But thankfully, through the power of the Word of God, and his love for them, they found gradually the healing that Jesus Christ can bring, even to the most troubled aspects of marriage. God brought their marriage closer than it had ever been before. I want to tell you today, because of this story and because of the Word of God, there is hope.
