Are you ever tired after good night's sleep? Could it be that you suffer from sleep deprivation?

    A professor and researcher at University of British Columbia is convinced that we are not getting enough sleep. He’s written a book entitled Sleep Thieves and believes that we need between 9 and 10 hours of sleep every day if we are going to function at our best. If you’re like me, you’re getting by on a lot less than that!

    This professor’s research shows that we have exhaustion as a major national epidemic. I think he’s right. But it’s hard to get more, isn’t it?

    “Are you weary?”

    Maybe the cause of your exhaustion is spiritual. Jesus recognized that we have a real tendency to be weary. He announced a cure when he said: “Come to me, all you who labor and are weary and I will give you rest. … Learn from me. I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls.”

    Do you need this rest?

    Get more sleep if you can. But also know there is a deeper exhaustion that can only be helped when you meet and know the Master of eternal rest.
