Plato was a pagan, but listen to the words he urged on parents: “Let parents bequeath to their children not riches, but the spirit of reverence.”

    Do you believe our country is going more and more pagan? Are we on a mad dash for wealth? According to a recent U.S. News and World Report article, greed is rising in every class across America.

Don’t we know that greed is the wrong path?

    Don’t we know that greed, even if we rename it self-improvement or getting ahead or planning for the future, is the wrong path and is the path away from God? Do we not know that lusting for money will continue to over power fundamental spiritual values and push us away from God who made us?

    Jesus taught about this:

If anyone wants to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me for whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good will it be for a man if gains the whole world but forfeits his soul?

    What Jesus said then is true today! Let’s listen to him and pursue his path!
