My friend Homer sent an e-mail to me today and he entitled it, A Day of Power. What does he mean? Heres his story!
Todays a special day for me. On February 4, 1981, I was visiting church in Uvalde, Texas on Wednesday evening. After the minister gave a short exhortation, I ran up to the front and confessed Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Immediately I was buried with him in baptism and raised to walk a new life and its been everything he promisedA NEW LIFE! My life is testimony that his power works today. Nothing about me is the same since that night. Everything has changed. His Spirit came with a demonstration of power in my life.
Can you say this in your life? Is there a time when you can say you turned your life over to Jesus Christ in obedient faith, and God in power changed everything? What a great distance God has brought me! Homer said, from death to life.
Never doubt, God changes the lives of those who present themselves to him. The Bible says, I am not ashamed of the Gospel... it is the power of God. Believe that and see what God will do in your life, with power!
