Thoughts on Today's Verse...

As we examine our blessings and thank God for his wonderful grace, let's ask why God has blessed us so much. Let's also remember the primary spiritual principle God made clear in today's Scripture and his call to Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3). God blesses his people so that they will be a blessing to others. Let's make sure we are not merely recipients of God's blessings; let's be conduits of those blessings to others so that they can join us in our praise and thanksgiving for our wonderful and generous Father in heaven.

My Prayer...

Thank you, generous Father, for lavishly blessing me with so many blessings. Please open my eyes to see how I can pass on those gifts to those around me - especially those who most need them. As I share the blessings you have so lovingly given me, may others find their greatest blessing of all - your loving grace - and may they give thanks to you in Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
