Samuel began his ministry at a young age (1 Samuel 1:1-28). However, he became essential as God's servant to Israel through a long life in bridging the generations between the Judges and the Kings. During that whole time, God was with Samuel and empowered his ministry. God empowered Samuel's words, making them accurate, compelling, and convicting. Let's pray that God does the same with his spokespeople today. And we need to be on the lookout for young emerging Samuels and Deborahs (Judges 4:4-9, 14-16) in Jesus' family today and encourage them! May God use his servants effectively all their lives and not let any of their words fall to the ground.
My Prayer...
Today, O God, I ask you to empower your faithful servants who proclaim your Word all over the world. Please bless them with a season of freedom from satanic attacks. Bless them with health, vigor, and passion. Please give them a long life full of useful service empowered by your grace. And, dear Father, please raise up young Samuels and Deborahs in your church today so the future of your people can be filled with faithfulness! In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
