Ah! The "Golden Rule" is so straightforward, isn't it? Sometimes we make things far too complicated and complex, especially religious things. I love the Bible because it is often practical and plain when God deals with our behavior. Do you want to know how to treat someone? Then do for them what would be a blessing if it was done to you! Don't do it to them if it doesn't bless, encourage, build up, support, comfort, or help you. If it hurts, wounds, depresses, spites, or discourages you, don't treat others that way. Deal with others using the same dignity, kindness, love, respect, and tenderness you would like used with you. Simple to understand; revolutionary to do. This is the JesuShaped way of living!
My Prayer...
Almighty God, thank you for making some things so simple to understand. Please fill my heart with your love as I try to live the "Golden Rule" in my relationships. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen.
"Dear Father, Thank you, Father, for giving your holy law to Moses and for the role it played in bringing people to Christ. Thank you even more that....."
"The Lord rescues the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble. The Lord helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find..."
"Then, leaving the crowds outside, Jesus went into the house. His disciples said, "Please explain to us the story of the weeds in the field."
Jesus..."
