To him, who by means of his power working in us is able to do
so much more then we can ever ask for, or even imagine. To God be the glory in
the church and in Christ Jesus for all time, forever and ever. AMEN.
(Ephesians 3:20-21)
How wonderful would it be if we could honestly pray this one day to our
Lord and Creator? Can you imagine the Lord using our strengths and our
weaknesses in order to demonstrate to the world His omnipotence? What would he
use in your life? How could the Lord use you and your gifts in order to reveal
his power to this cold and thoughtless world?
God wants to do just that! The Lord has a wonderful plan for each and everyone
of us. He wants to use us for His plan to spread His Gospel message of love and
peace in a time where those virtues no longer seem to matter. We are living in
a time where we only go out of our way when it means something in return. We
make so called-sacrifices when we believe that it will somehow in the long run
benefit us. We are living in very selfish times.
We are living in very selfish times. |
But the Lord has other plans for us as His children. He is calling us to love
Him sacrificially by loving others. God wants to reveal His incredible power to
us by revealing to us all the power there is in LOVING. He wants to do
unimaginable things through us. He wants to satisfy all our dreams and wants.
He wants to do for us what we cannot even begin imagine. How? By loving Him
with everything that we are: heart, mind, body and soul.
Once we decide to love Him in this way, our life will change. Our mind will
eventually change and thus our concept of love will change. God will fill our
lives with so much love that we will long to find other ways to love God and
others. When we love the way He has intended us to love, our goals and dreams
will change and soon enough, we will witness the true power of God through
LOVE.
When you love someone it is forever. Loving someone through a kind act or
gesture does not simply end there, it begins there. That initial act of love
grows and continues on forever as that love is cherished and ultimately shared
once again. For that reason, we understand when John states in 1 John 4:16 that
"God is love and all who live in love, live in God".
God delivers His Holy Spirit to aid us as we love others! |
To know God, is to love Him and everyone around us everyday. God delivers
His Holy Spirit to aid us as we love others who may reject or even hurt us at
times (Romans 5:5). But it is through the Spirit that we are able to give
others the immense love that He gave to us when His son died on the cross.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit we become the vessels through which God
demonstrates His wonderful Love, Joy, Peace and Strength.
Let's look forward to the day when we can truly recite this scripture knowing
that the Lord's powerful love has penetrated our lives and has done wonders to
bring Him glory, bless others, and change us forever!
