The story is told of a Finnish infidel who died. Upon examination of his
will by his family and friends, they discovered that he had willed all his
property, house and material possessions to the devil. Perplexed as to how
someone could leave something to the devil, the family pursued the case to
court.
After several months, the judge in the case had finally reached a decision.
As the community gathered to hear the verdict, the judge declared, "It is
decided that the best way to carry out the request of the deceased is to
allow the farm to grow weeds, the soil to erode, and the house and barn to
rot. In our opinion, the best way to leave something to the devil is to do
nothing."
Many individuals think that doing nothing spiritually is safe, but in
reality to do nothing is dangerous. Procrastination is the assassination
of motivation. 1 John 3:8 says "the one who practices sin is of the devil;
for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for
this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil." Let's not help the
devil's work.
