Praise the Lord.Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.Praise the Lord.
(Psalm 150 TNIV)
We sing these familiar words,
Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host:
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Amen.
(Thomas Ken, 1695)
Father, help us join in the praise from all Your creatures. All Your creatures praise You. Everything that has breath praises You. All the creatures that inhabit the earth praise You. All the creatures that live in the forests and the jungles praise You. All creatures that dwell high in the mountains praise You. All the creatures that hide in the bushes around our houses praise You. All the fish that swim in the sea, in the rivers, in the lakes, and in ponds and streams praise You. All the birds that fly in the sky praise You. All creatures . . . those that are great and small, those that are strong and weak praise You. Let us join with all creatures as we praise You.
Father, help us to praise You on all occasions. Whether inside an earthly sanctuary or outside under the mighty heavens, we want to praise You. Wherever we go, whatever we do, when we rise in the morning, as we go about our daily tasks, and we lie down at night before we want to fall to sleep praising You. We want to praise You all the time. We praise You freely and without reservation. We want to praise you during the holidays when many focus upon your goodness and greatness and on routine days when many forget your providential care. We want to praise You all the time for Your power and Your greatness.
Father, at all times and in everything we do, we praise You; for we know that all blessings come from You.
