As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
(Ecclesiastes 11:5)
While we have advanced medically, scientifically, and technologically as a human race, we are beginning to realize how little we know about the vast universe in which our delicate small blue planet orbits. We rejoice in the beauty, complexity, delicacy, and enduring brilliance of the creation that surrounds us. While this creation shouts the praises of its Creator (Psalm 19:1-6) and calls us to seek after the God who made it all (Romans 1:20-25), we gasp in wonder at the vast unknown and unknowable. Our humility, reverence, and delight in our Creator open our hearts to respond to God's call found in our While the glorious magnificence of God is largely unknowable, the Creator has left his fingerprints on his creation and longs for us to seek after him and come to know him (Acts 17:24-28). He invites us to wonder at the "outskirts of His way, the mere fringes of His force" in his marvelous creation and receive his grace to help us know him and find mercy and grace to help us in our times of need (Hebrews 4:16). We invite you to watch Phil's ToGather message video as he helps us contemplate and appreciate our magnificent God. We also encourage you to take part in our full worship video, singing songs of praise that Demetrius has chosen for us and participating in the Lord's Supper as we engage in this worship personally. (The full video includes Phil's message.) We pray that you are blessed as we appreciate and praise our glorious Father in heaven, the Creator and Sustainer of all the magnificence of the universe.
Special thanks for the use of images related to Jesus' ministry from The Lumo Project and Free Bible Images for use in both ToGather videos.Yet these [wonders of creation] are but a small part of His doings, the outskirts of His ways, the mere fringes of His force, the faintest whisper of His voice! Who dares contemplate or who can understand the thunders of His full, magnificent power? (Job 26:14 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)
