What would it be like to be a minister, to believe deeply in prayer, but never pray?
Brad has been preaching for a long time, but after attending a spiritual renewal conference, he felt he must confess to his church a burdensome sinthat he rarely prayed. The response to this ministers confession overwhelmed him. May in his congregation began to confess their sins openly. God used the ministers humility, the ministers honesty as a spiritual wake up call for all those who heard him preach.
Humble yourselves before the Lord...
|
James 4:10 says, Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will lift you up. Psalm 32 adds, When I kept silent my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquities. I confessed my transgressions to the Lord and you forgave the guilt of my sin.
Dont delay! Open up! Tell the Lord the truth! Jesus will welcome you, forgive you and help you start again.
Use Brads experience. Its very difficult to speak to others, unless were honest with God.
