Today's Verse: Romans 5:3-4

Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
— Romans 5:3-4

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

What are you living to produce with your life? Wealth, fame, status, significance, legacy? How about character? Isn't having the character of God our real goal in life? Even in our worst times, if we are people of character, nothing can steal from us our most desired goal, the character of God, given to us by Jesus Christ.

My Prayer...

Dear Father, please empower me to always be strong and consistent in holy character. Please give me a heart of courage and a soul full of compassion so I can more clearly remind others, at least in some small way, what you are like and what you can do in their lives. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
