God's Holy Fire: 'Holy Spirit Transportation'

Sunday, August 30, 2026

Then the Spirit lifted me [Ezekiel] and brought me to the east gateway of the Lord's Temple, where I saw twenty-five prominent men of the city. Among them were Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, who were leaders among the people.

Key Thought

Ezekiel's ministry will be hard, but he is to do the job he has been called to do. He will not be alone in this very difficult task. The Spirit of God will not only speak to him and through him but will also get him to the places and the people he needs to reach. Much like the angel and the Holy Spirit makes sure Philip found the Ethiopian seeker (Acts 8:26-40), the Spirit makes sure Ezekiel gets to the people he is to reach. What would happen if we began to pray for the Holy Spirit to get us and God's other messengers to the people who need to hear his message?

Today's Prayer

Almighty God and loving Father, I thank you for your mercy and grace which have reached me. I thank you for the work of your Spirit in guiding others to share your message with me. So just as Jesus told us to pray for you to send workers into your fields for the harvest, I am praying for your Spirit to move in the hearts of your people and call servants and messengers directly to those people who need to hear about Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.
