Day 10: Last Email from Laos Dear Children: We just said our last goodbyes to the brethren who stopped by for the last time tonight. They came to wish us God speed and say how sorry they are. There were many tears shed and little Ning my 13 year old girl just clung to me and Ken and cried and cried. We saw Jerry and Meg off this morning. They should arrive in the States Monday morning. If our brethren are not released soon this week, Jerry has some plans. We are still packing between people stopping by to see us. Have hired a tuk tuk driver for the past few days. Also my old standby Vien showed up at my door two days ago and has been a life saver. Actually she came to see if she could start work again. Well we've hired her to to stay and watch our place until Bounlerth and Phongsawan are able to move in. Vien and her husband will live her until that time. We are keeping the place as Partner's In Progress even though all the help is in jail. I (Mom) am the Country Manager now, even though the Lao Officials didn't approve it. We plan to arrive in Udorn tomorrow night. The packers will come in the morning and put everything in crates. We are tired, but I was thankful to finally get some sleep last night. I slept from 6-12, then got up and worked until about 3:30 and slept until 7:00. There are just so many things to wind up here. I will try to keep Papa out of trouble and out of jail!!! Just keep praying. Remember our Lao brothers and sisters. I must run and finish packing so we will be ready for the movers in the morning. We love you a bunch. May God continue to watch over you and bless you. Love Mom, Dad, Grandma and Granpa
