Spiritual Warfare: 'Avoid Sexual Immorality and All Impurity'

God's Power for Our Battles — Wednesday, January 29, 2025

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
— Colossians 3:5a NLT

Today's Prayer

Lord, You know I’m only human, and I’m susceptible to sexual desires and immoral temptations that can lead to a life of regret and heartache — and eventually to an eternity in hell, far from Your love. Deliver me from these evil practices and desires so I can honor my covenants and encourage others to do the same. Show me the way out when I’m about to head down the wrong path; lead me closer to You and fill me with satisfaction within the perimeters of marriage and wholesome service to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
