Spiritual Warfare: 'Drunkenness, Carousing, & Worry Are Traps'

He is Risen!

Happy Resurrection Sunday from Heartlight and Verse of the Day!

Read 'Resurrection!'
Watch out! Don’t let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don’t let that day catch you unaware, like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth.

Today's Prayer

Lord, help me to keep my mind sharp, focused, and centered on You. Deliver me from the trap of worry, and help me to sleep soundly as I learn to trust You completely. Deliver me from the desire for lots of alcohol, so my judgment is unimpaired and focused on pleasing You. And deliver me from carousing and the desire for sensual pleasures outside of the marriage bed. Help me to be pure and moral, as I know You want me to be. Save me from the death and loss that lies at the end of those roads. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
