Spiritual Warfare: 'Safety and Joy in the Lord's Presence'

God's Power for Our Battles — Saturday, May 16, 2026

No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety. For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave. You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

Today's Prayer

Lord, when the world begins to fill me with its fear, remind me that I am safe because of Your protection. Let that thought fill my heart and mind with gladness and joy. Help me remember, too, that my future in eternity with You will also be full of joy because of Your presence and Your love. I look forward, Lord, to an eternity of pleasure when I move into Your house forever. Thank You for making that possible through Christ. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
