Spiritual Warfare: 'God Wants Us to Be Compassionate & Generous'

God's Power for Our Battles — Friday, July 4, 2025

But whoever has the world’s goods (adequate resources), and sees his brother in need, but has no compassion for him, how does the love of God live in him?
— 1 John 3:17 AMP

Today's Prayer

Lord, I am so blessed to the point of abundance. I live in a land with plenty of food and water and earthly possessions. Remind me that with these great blessings comes great responsibility. Help me to notice those in need around me and throughout the world who don’t even have adequate food and clothing, Lord, and help me to see them with eyes of love and compassion. And then help me to let that compassion cause me to be generous and bountiful as I give to them sirectly or through the organizations You have set before me. Use me to Your glory, Lord, to bless them richly. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
