Spiritual Warfare: 'God Rescues His Faithful Messengers'

God's Power for Our Battles — Friday, August 8, 2025

God didn’t spare angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, where he has secured them with chains of darkness and is holding them for judgment. God didn’t spare the ancient world either. He brought the flood on the world of ungodly people, but he protected Noah and seven other people. Noah was his messenger who told people about the kind of life that has God’s approval.
— 2 Peter 2:4-5 GWT

Today's Prayer

Lord, I know You cannot tolerate sin or sinful people. Help me to recognize my own sins and turn from them. Lead me back to You—back to truth and love and righteousness. This present world of darkness has led me to become deceived—even about my own sins. I quickly call them a “grey area” or “little white lies,” but I know in my heart that there are no “grey” angels. They are either on Your side or on Satan’s side. Open my eyes to the truth and bring me gently back to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
