Spiritual Warfare: 'God's Life-giving Power Delivers Us from Sin'

God's Power for Our Battles — Wednesday, August 13, 2025

God’s children cannot keep on being sinful. His life-giving power lives in them and makes them his children so that they cannot keep on sinning. You can tell God’s children from the devil’s children, because those who belong to the devil refuse to do right or to love each other.

Today's Prayer

Lord, some days I believe and obey. Other days my faith and my resistance to sin are weak, and I often disobey. Help my unbelief. Deliver me from doubt and weakness. Help me to learn to rely on the power of Your Indwelling Spirit to condition me to resist temptation. Please teach me to love. I want to love others as You have loved me. May this blossoming love lead me to make better choices each and every day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
