But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: To the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as one day. The Lord is not slow in doing what he promised — the way some people understand slowness. But God is being patient with you. He does not want anyone to be lost, but he wants all people to change their hearts and lives.
Lord, thank You for delaying my punishment, giving me time to repent and change my life. I know we aren’t promised a tomorrow, so please help others to change today, while there is still time to turn from evil and live for You. Make them deaf to Satan’s whispers to delay to obey. Let them only hear Your Spirit and be willing to respond. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
