Spiritual Warfare: 'Living in Wickedness Hinders Prayer'

God's Power for Our Battles — Friday, November 7, 2025

Greed brings grief to the whole family, but those who hate bribes will live. The heart of the godly thinks carefully before speaking; the mouth of the wicked overflows with evil words. The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous.
— Proverbs 15:27-29 NLT

Today's Prayer

Lord, I know now that my selfish desires have brought grief and guilt and pain to my family. I have also spoken too quickly without thinking things through and praying first. I have endorsed and even partnered with wicked people and wicked practices. No more. As I move forward, Lord, help me to leave a life of evil and greed and strive to become the godly person that pleases You so my prayers won’t be hindered anymore. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
