For years the gang of "The Little Rascals" entertained audiences with the
antics of kids being kids.� In one episode, Spanky McFarland and the gang
were playing "Army".� Colonel Spanky, however, was having trouble with the
decorum of his troops.� After repeatedly being snobbed as Superior Officer,
he finally blurted out:� "What this army needs is more salutin'!"
There's another army that "needs more salutin'".� The Bible says in Hebrews
13:24, "salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints'".
Salute is defined as "a greeting-- a show of respect."� In service, one
salutes a superior rank as a show of respect.
Paul even takes it a step further.� He advises us to "Honor one another
above yourselves."� We need to show respect to everyone, whether it's a
gesture, greeting, or attitude.
