Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love, which you have shown from long ages past. Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord.

— Psalm 25:4-7 NLT

Key Thought

Our relationship with God is our central relationship. We build all other relationships around Him. We choose to draw near to God and ask Him to guide our steps. [1] We prayerfully ask our Father to show us the right paths to take with our lives, trusting that He will give us wisdom for our decisions as we lean on Him for guidance. [2] While we have GPS (Global Positioning System) to guide our physical travel, we rely on God's positioning system to guide our lives toward His ultimate good for us. [3]

Through the Scriptures and the leading of the Holy Spirit, God shows us the right path to choose for our lives. [4] Because He has demonstrated His faithfulness in the past, we trust that His guidance is reliable and faithful for us in the present and the future. In His unfailing love and mercy, God forgave our past sins and rebellion. He now pours His blessings into our lives each day. [5] God's steadfast presence through the Holy Spirit empowers us to live with hope, peace, and joy with each other. [6] Because God loves, accepts, and transforms us through the Holy Spirit, we can bless those we love and be Jesus' presence to them. [7] God's love for us, His presence in us, and His power to bless others through us open the way for us to experience life to its fullest in every relationship. [8]

Today's Prayer

Father, I thank You for forgiving and cleansing me of my past rebellion, sin, and failure. Thank You for remembering me and guiding me with Your Spirit. As I know You and rely on Your guiding presence more completely, help me see and act on the opportunities You have positioned me to use to bring Your grace to others.[A] I ask this in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

[A] This is essentially what Peter is saying in 1 Peter 2:9-12 that our mission is in the world.
