[Jesus] will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
— 1 Corinthians 1:8-9 NLT

Key Thought

I want to demonstrate my faith in Jesus all the way to the end of my earthly life. I pray to be as strong and blameless as possible all of my days. The problem, however, is me. I know I am flawed, sometimes weak, and occasionally I stumble when Satan tempts me in certain vulnerable areas of my character. I am growing and overcoming those weaknesses through the Spirit's help. I hold onto the blessing and promise given in our relationship verses today. I trust it is true because I know that God is faithful, Jesus is gracious, and the Holy Spirit is working to empower and conform me to become more like Jesus. [1]

When I first came to the Lord and was saved, Jesus presented me to God and the hosts of heaven as "holy and blameless as [I] stand before him without a single fault." [2] Jesus continues to do this, not because I am perfect, but because my life is joined to Him and His perfect sacrifice for me. [3] As you continue to trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, [4] the blessing and promise in our verses are true not just for me, but also for you as well! Because of God's faithfulness [5] and our saving partnership with Jesus, we can accept the power and beauty that Jesus has for us in our future with Him. Let's keep following Jesus and leave finishing strong and faithful in His capable and loving hands!

Today's Prayer

Father, thank You for Your love that will not let me go! Jesus, thank You for presenting me as holy to the Father and before the hosts of heaven. Holy Spirit, thank You for strengthening me with Your might and transforming me to become more like Jesus. I commit to following Jesus passionately, knowing that my future is in His hands and that He does not see my imperfection. Thank You, in His name. Amen.
