There's an Angel
in the Corner of My Room
by Rod & Elizabeth Pringle
|
Theres a presence in this room I cannot explain,
An unseen friend, a comforter to ease a childs pain.
I dont know who you are, but I know youve been near
From the first time this little girl whispered in my ear...
Theres an angel, in the corner of my room.
Hes waiting there to take me home, to Gods heavenly throne.
And sometime, by the light of the moon,
I think that I can see him smile.
He whispers Just a little while, and well be home.
Like water through my fingers, I watch you slip away.
In a moment I would take your place if there was any way.
I feel a hand upon my back. When I turn, no ones there,
Then her words fill my heart again, the answer to my prayer.
Theres an angel, in the corner of my room.
Hes waiting there to take me home, to Gods heavenly throne.
And sometime, by the light of the moon,
I think that I can see him smile.
He whispers Just a little while, and well be home.
Im not afraid. Im not alone.
Hes only come to lead me home.
Theres an angel, in the corner of my room.
Hes waiting there to take me home, to Gods heavenly throne.
And sometime, by the light of the moon,
I think that I can see him smile.
He whispers Just a little while, and well be home.
Amys song was written for 10 year old Amy Krazer. A few months before her battle with cancer ended, she spoke of seeing angels in her room. We believe she did, and she is with them and the Father now.
