Steve Green says that the verse of the Bible he tries to most emulate in his life is Hebrews 12:1: Let us strip off everything that hinders us, as well as the sin which dogs our feet. And let us run the race we have to run with patience, our eyes fixed on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith.
Steve says that he tried to be a performer, someone that could be a star, and he says, that is not where meaning is. Meaning for him is to make his private life one of seeking the Lords will, walking close to the Lord, so that his public performance can mirror an authentic faith. His wife Mary Jean, his children Summer and Josaiah, are watching the real Steve Green at home and Steve says, he wants that one to be the one that imitates Jesus.
Steve has a lot to teach us. Are we willing to learn?
