Every day I directly benefit from technology. My car runs on a computer. I send and receive messages by telephone, email, and fax. Much like you, my life is being revolutionized by technology. I keep being surprised by the scope and pace of change, technological change in my own life.
Jesus believed in the personal touch.

Now Im thankful for technology. It makes my life better in dozens of ways. But as a caring and committed Christian, I want to ask this question: How would Jesus use this technology? I think I have an idea by reading about his life in the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). Jesus always chose the personal dimension. He believed in the personal touch. He always concerned himself with people.
So use technology as a tool, but use it to serve Jesus Christ by loving and serving people in his name. If you find youre spending more of your time with hardware and software than youre spending with living, breathing human beings, reconsider. Take your life and your priorities to God in prayer. Take a step back. Ask him for wisdom. Serve him by serving your fellow human beings.
