Do you remember the “Biosphere”? It was an attempt to copy our natural world inside a building out in the Arizona desert. It had an ecosystem with animals and plants and bugs—even an artificial ocean! Some smart people spent a lot of money trying to recreate God’s system of balanced life on this planet.

    The only problem is Biosphere was a dismal failure. The atmosphere went sour, the sea turned into acid, the crops failed, and the crazy ants managed to kill off most of the other species of insects! As one scientist admitted, “What Biosphere taught us is that we’re not quite ready to manage the planet.” Indeed!

    God is still God, and we need to thank him for this wonderful world that has been created by him and not by us or by chance.
