Not long ago, I bought myself a new pocketknife. I picked out one that was pretty expensive; it was a nice one! You know, I hadnt had it but about three days, and I lost that sucker. (At least, that's the way we say it down in Driftwood)
I guess what I learned from that experience is that it doesn't do any good to buy a really good quality tool, or an expensive knife, if you lose it. You cant use it! I got to thinking about our lives. Its really crazy for us to buy a lot of expensive things and build expensive buildings and put a lot of time and money into things that won't be very useful for us in the long run.
Paul wrote to the church in Philippi and said, My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. All the things we really need, come from the Lord.
