Today I talked with my friend, who was in a serious automobile accident. He was driving on the freeway at night, with heavy traffic and construction going on. A stray dog ran into the road, and a driver swerved to avoid hitting the dog. The construction concrete dividers prevented maneuverability, and he hit a car instead, which hit a van, which hit my friends car. My friend wasnt hurt, but a small child was critically injured, and his life was in jeopardy.
Now this is not to criticize the driver who caused the wreck to spare a dog. But it does point out how often we react without considering the long-range consequences.
Its just good to take the time to sit down every now and then and reevaluate our priorities. And Gods Word is a very helpful guide in that process.
