The Bible says a lot about being holy, living a sanctified life. So naturally you would expect fornication to be a negative thing, and that sociological research would validate this fact.

    And sure enough, research done in Finland and in the United States showed children born out of wedlock were at risk. Of those children who died between the first day and the 27th day of life, twice as many were born to an unmarried mother.

    What? We don’t know if it was a lack of love, or a lack of fathering, or genetic problems, poor pre-natal care or maybe something else. Maybe further research will find out, but what is interesting is that when God says something is wrong, it really is, and it doesn’t pay off. Even in this life there are consequences, and sadly, for innocent children.
