Researchers are saying parents are spending less time with their families than ever before. And this may be the singlemost important reason for the family’s decay in our society. If for no other reason, it gives the subliminal message to our children that we don’t want to be with them or we don’t like to be with them.

    One wise woman we interviewed said, “Have children only if you want to share your life with them, and if you don’t think they are going to be the best people in the world to spend your time with, don’t have them.”

    So our children need to hear, loud and clear, “You are worth my time. I want to be with you. I would rather be with you than anyone in the world. Yes, even when you’re a stinker!” That’s exactly how God feels about you when you’re a stinker!
